The Mini as a whole....

Ok, I have made so many attempts at making a video of this mini instead of having to post a page a day.  Although I can give more detail if I post a couple at a time...I tend to ramble.  So here's the youtube link for the rest of the mini if you'd like to scroll through.

It is very QUICK!  I didn't realize it when I was making the slide show.

I have had other videos upload with no problem, but this one just won't upload.  I even tried redoing the video and now I have given the mini to Kelly so I can't try again.  OK!!  Enough of that.

Here it is...

Thanks for watching and I hope you have a wonderful Thursday!!

Next page in the Mini

Hey ya'll!  So before I share my next page I just wanted to share with you some of my very favorite brands that are releasing new products within the next week.

Teresa Collins has some new stuff coming out and it is just the cutest.  If you click HERE you can see some of the new items that are available for Pre-Order from ScrapAttackScrapbooking that Teresa has to offer.

Petaloo also has some new items...some new vines even.  Click HERE to visit ScrapAttackScrapbooking to see what's new from Petaloo!

If you click HERE you can visit all the new items that are available for Pre-Order at ScrapAttackScrapbooking.  I am not affiliated with their store, but I just love the community of scrappers they have and how friendly everyone is.

So here's the next page in the the mini...

I used the Tim Holtz Mask on this across the top.  The piece that forms the pocket is a die cut shape by Moxxie.  I used my Cricut to cut out the center for the flower and the dog bones.  The black brads are glittery and  made by the Paper Studio.  The floser is a Prima that I misted and stickled.  The piece in the pocket opens up for 3 places for photos.  I have had that paper for a long time.  I got it when the AC Moore near me was going out of business.  I love it.  It is embossed and glittery!  I also used the American Girl Crafts dog punch again.

The next page...

The black bone is cut out of the specialty paper you can find at Hobby Lobby.  It is flocked and really thick paper.  I used the Tim Holtz Mask on this page as well and added some bling.  The ribbon I used here is from the $1 bin at Michaels.  I love their selection!  This bone opens up for more journaling and photo space.  Here's the picture of it open...

I also used the crown part of the Tim Holtz mask on the top part of the bone, but I'm not sure you can see it that well.  I took these photos in my aunt's kitchen so they didn't turn out the best!!  The bone has a velcro closure and is open on the right side for tags to tuck behind.  Here's a photo of the tags...

Sorry for my leg in the photo...lol...the back of the tags have the pink paper on it.  All the papers I used were one sided so I had to cover both sides of anything that I wanted to have 2 pretty sides.  :-)  I also used the crown mask on one of these tags as well, but it doesn't show in the photo.  The back is very light paper so she can journal on the back and photos on the front if she likes.

So...stay tuned for more pages of the mini.  I'm sorry I can't upload them all at once.  My internet is so slow it takes things forever to upload.  I have been trying to upload a video of the entire album and have been unsuccessful.  I will keep trying though.  Thanks for taking a peek!!

Happy Monday! More pages from the mini!

Well how are you doing today?  I keep adding followers slowly...when I get to 25 I will be doing a give away of some sort!  Just an update....if you were one of the few people following me when I started up this blog...you will remember I was struggling with a vine type of embellishment that I wanted to make for a page idea I had in mind.  I was going for kind of a Tim Burton kind of feel if you know who Tim Burton is.  He did the movies the Nightmare Before Christmas.  So, something kind of like you might see in a Halloween Layout, but my layout is not going to be a Halloween theme.  Ok...I'm rambling, but I actually worked on the vine Saturday night and made some progress for getting it to look more like what I had in mind.  So, when I complete that and the scrapbook page I will share it with you.

Now, as promised I wanted to share more from my mini album that I made for my friend Kelly.  Just a reminder, the subject of the book was her dog Molly.  I did not add any photos because I had limited photos of Molly.  I knew that Kelly would have more, but here's the next page.  I already shared the front cover in case you missed it...you can see it HERE.

Here's the next page and the tags

The lace on the bottom was white and I misted it using Smooch Spritz.  It was the black spray, but it turned the lace more of a gray...but I liked the effect.  The frame was a K&Company frame that I painted to match.  It was pink, but it was the wrong shade.  I wrapped Recollections sequin trim around the fame and secured with brads.  Pink bling at the top is also Recollections.  The tag...I have no idea where I got that tag.  There's also another behind it, but it's just from the paper collection.  The paper collection is Diva I believe by Glitz Design.  I used the large eyelets from the sewing section because I used the larger binding rings.  Those don't fit in the extra large eyelets.  So, I had to find something else.  These worked fine.

These are the tags for the page above and the next page.  The squares I used for the tabs are tile like stickers from Amanda Blu.  They are very glittery and fit this album very well.  The tags on the left are for the next page.  They have Prima pink flowers and Recollections bling for the centers.

This page has a chipboard M that I purchased from Hobby Lobby.  I painted it with Metallic Folk Art Paint, then covered with distress Crackle in Rock Candy.  Not sure the exact color name for the Folk Art, but it's Pink of some shade.  I added ribbon along the bottom and heat emobssed the paw print.  The tags tuck behind the M.  The little dog on the lower right of the M is from the American Girl Crafts Dog Punch.

Thanks for looking...I will share the rest of the book later!

Baby Boy page

Hey Ya'll...we are having beautiful weather this week.  I'm loving it.  I have managed to scrap though.  Today instead of continuing the pages from the mini...I'm going to share a page I completed for my nephews 12X12 album.  I promise I will share more mini photos!

The photo is not the best.  I still just can't master taking photos of my layouts...maybe I need some photography classes!!  This is a mixture of different products and I love how it turned out.  I wasn't that excited about the green after I had already glued on the yellow page, but he has one strip of green showing in his sweater so I tried to put all those colors in the page to bring it out.  I thought it was lacking something so I added the transparency under the heart.  I went transparency crazy I guess on this layout.  I used it in the notches in the yellow paper for little stars then at the top left of the photo as well.  I liked the look.

Thanks for checking out my newest layout!

A Mini Album for my friend Kelly

Hey Ya'll!  I am so excited to share with you the mini album I just completed for my friend Kelly.  I've known her for years and she's very crafty, but she doesn't scrapbook.  She's not married and no kids like me and says what's the point...but, me...I scrap ANYWAY!  So, the theme of this album is her absolutely loveable doggie...Molly.  I used Pink and Black and just glittzed it out.  I'm so happy with the finished product and I gave it to her yesterday.  She loved it.

So this is the front cover above.  I got the crown charm from Joann Fabrics and I can't tell you how many times I did a redo on the front of this book.  It was the one part I couldn't get it to come together.  I also used a wood letter for the M from hobby lobby.  I got the white leaves from the bridal department and the clear and silver branches as well.  I used recollections rhinestones in the left bottom corner and a American Girl Crafts Dog punch on the bottom with some more recollections bling.  The silver piece by the M upper right is a chipboard piece by colorbok that I got at Target in a pack for $0.99.  I used Folk Art Black Metallic Acrylic paint to cover a cereal box.  That's what I created the front with.  Then covered with some Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint.  Then I wired and glued the M to the cover.  There's also a transparency in the upper right corner for a photo to be added.  I secured it on the right with a paper clip and glued it in the bottom right corner under the tulle so the glue will be hidden.  I added a bone charm to the paper clip to finish it off.  So...that's the front...stay tuned in to my blog for the rest of the book.

February Charm Swap

Hey there!!

Here's my charm I finished up lastnight and tag for the February Charm Swap on the Scrap Beach.  You can visit the Forums board at the Scrap Beach by clicking HERE.  Once you get to the Forums...you can find all kinds of places to socialize and participate with other crafters!  Look for the Swaps Galore! category or you can click HERE to find this category.  This is where you will find the Charm Swap.  It's very fun and a nice way to get to lots of different charms to attach to your minis.

February theme was red, pink, bling...thinking Valentines.  So, here's my finished product.

I kept the tag simple so the recipient of the tag can actually use it if they like.  Here's a photo of the back of the tag.

I kept it really simple on the back too...it's jus white with a little distressing on the back.  I then covered it with a little white bag to kind of protect the beads for shipping and storage.  Here's a photo of the charm in the bag.

I stamped a heart on the front of the bag.  I got this little set of heart stamps at Joann for $1.  They are really cute.  The ink pad I used is also fromt he $1 section at Joann.

So, that's my charm.  Hope you like it and thanks for looking!

Scrapbook Deal A Day!

I am loving this new site I found for daily scrapbooking deals.  I have to admit, I look at the others I know of everyday...but this one site is the only one I've ordered from.   I did find one other that I'd like to order from, but it always seems to be sold out when I want the item of the day.  So...here's the new one I've found.  Click here to visit Kindred Creations Scrapbooking.  Today they have the Pink Paislee Bayberry set that I absolutely love.  Also, if you browse the clearence section, you can find a stamp that matches the Bayberry set they are selling as well.
